‘The Woodsman’ in action

Understanding our timber, the forestry management in Europe and the timber mills that we work with is essential.  Only through this understanding can we continue to guarantee the best quality materials, that have been harvested sustainably and cut and dried to the best possible standards.

Justin, ‘The Woodsman’, recently  visited France and Germany at the end of the forest cutting season to ensure Square Roots supply of the the best and biggest white oak trees that are available.

This selection process helps drive the designs we make so that each piece is unique and the story of the individual trees remain intact.
