Square Roots mixing it up in Los Angeles

Square Roots is partnering with popular U.S. west coast retailer, HD Buttercup, to offer shoppers more choice than ever.

Continuing to find fans in the U.S. after picking up a new business there earlier this year, Square Roots’ range of high quality, handcrafted furniture can now be found in exclusive Square Roots branded showrooms inside HD Buttercup stores.

Unique to this partnership, explained Square Roots co-founder Edward Stoddart, is the ability for shoppers to customize their own unique pieces.

“This is a new program that we’ve developed in partnership with HDB,” said Ed.

“It allows customers to create their own dining table or bench by matching tops with three different bases. There are three different table sizes in three finish options, and three different leg designs also in three finishes – a total of 81 different combinations.”

In addition to the mix ‘n’ match concept, H D Buttercup is also ranging a large number of Square Roots bespoke tables and chairs, sofas, and bedroom furniture pieces, particularly from the KULU, TORO and SOLI ranges.

“It’s exactly what we’ve been aspiring to,” said Ed, “being able to fully present our brand and tell our story in these important markets.”

Annalisa Cruz, HD Buttercup’s chief buyer, said that when she thought of Square Roots, she thought of design, quality, and uniqueness, making it in her words, ‘an obvious partnership’ for one of the west coast’s leading retailers.
