This collection was born from a fascination with the internal combustion engine, the cast metal elements were inspired by the shape of steel valves. These components are used as spacers between boards of solid oak to create sturdy forms for occasional tables and shelving.
The solid wood has machined curves on the edges softening the designs and revealing the nature of the oak boards. The boards are fitted with dovetailed wooded rails that allow for expansion and contraction and solid brass inlays are fitted by hand to support the joinery.
The traditional, hand applied bronze finish with our seared oak creates a particularly popular combination for the Ollo collection.
