The Square Roots facility is located 20 kilometres to the west of Ho Chi Minh City, in Long An province, a fifty minute drive from the centre of town. ( see contact us page for details )

The purpose built warehouse is within a small private industrial zone and covers 2500 square meters with space for 150 workers.

At the factory we carry out production from A – Z, starting with rough milling of timber through to packing. The methods used are a mixture of traditional hand skills and modern machining. This allows complete control over production and affords the ability to accommodate small batches as well as longer production runs. For the customer this means a greater degree of flexibility in the sizes and quantities supplied in each order. Typically lead times are between 8 and 12 weeks depending on the size of order and the type of product.

Some elements of production are outsourced to specialist subcontractors; this is the case when certain materials such as stainless steel, brass, cast aluminium, resin or woven fibres are required. Access to skilled local workshops gives our product range greater depth and variety.

The finishing processes we use also set our product apart from the competition. Grounded by our experience in traditional methods and materials we prefer the beauty of natural finishes rather than modern synthetic lacquers. We can achieve a wide range of distinctive colours and finishes using shellac polish, Danish oil, linseed oil and natural bees wax as well as the more common NC and PU finishes. Our real expertise though is in producing specialist finishes such as fumed oak, ebonising, pale soaped finishes, liming, hand painting and even gesso and gilt.

In order to assure the high quality standards that are essential our QC teams constantly monitor production inside our factory and in the subcontractor’s workshops. Prior to packing all items receive rigorous checks both visually and according a set checklist of specifications, we will not ship the goods unless all these checks are passed. Because of the great variety of products we make all our packing in-house and can offer different designs of packing and labelling according to customers needs.

In addition to the main production we also have a dedicated sampling team for development of new designs and there is a showroom at the factory for reviewing samples and prototypes along with a selection of our core ranges.
